Art at P.S.133Q is about creating works of art that communicate ideas, feelings and thoughts that our students experience through living their lives. The students are taught how to think like an artist as they explore and work to master various artistic skills as well as come up with creative ideas for different themes as well as problem solve for different solutions.The techniques and artistic concepts are structured to work at appropriate developmental levels for kindergarten through 5th grade. The big ideas are always present but the artists and materials vary throughout the years as contemporary and diverse artists are added to the teaching repertoire of artists.
